Here's how to fix the slow USB connection to Windows PC's:
Open the Network and Sharing Center from the Control Panel. And locate the Local Area Connection that appears when Ember is connected to your PC via USB: NOTE: It will probably have some other number than the “51” shown here.
Click on that Local Area Connection to open its Status dialog:
Click on “Details…”and note the IPv4 Address and Subnet Mask:
Close the Network Connection Details dialog, and on the Local Area Connection Status dialog click “Properties”:
On the Local Area Connection Properties dialog, select “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” and click “Properties”:
Select "Use the following IP address:", and enter the IP address and Subnet mask noted in step 3 (usually just 192.168.7.1 and 255.255.255.0, respectively). Leave Default gateway blank. Click “OK”, “Close”, and “Close”.
+ IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE EMBER:
If you have more than one Ember that you use (at different times) with a single PC via USB, you’ll need to repeat the above procedure for each separate Local Area Connection associated with each Ember. When you do that, click “No” on the warning dialog that appears:
